a month ago;
A month a ago today, i turned Seventeen years old. To be honest it is quite a boring. basically an in-between age. Sixteen is the super exciting, i can get my 'Learners' age and Eighteen is ' Holy Cow.. I am an adult and i am responsible for myself. I guess Seventeen is the firguring out everything age. School is over in 17 months. 17 is an important number to me right now.
When i first turned 17, i wasn't all that excited. i was like, oh there is nothing new and exciting i am legally able to do. As people keep asking me how old i am, I reply 'seventeen' and each time confidence grows when i say the answer. I am feeling more secure. Seventeen is a safety net age - it gives you the opportunity to grow up but not too much.
It is 11:47pm, I am sitting here listening to David Letterman Top Ten List being yelled by a country accented women. In spongebob jumper, so comfy. I should be heading to bed. Miley Cyrus just got announced on the show. She is seventeen almost eighteen. I am no fan of hers; but i respect her breaking out of the stereotypes she has been given. The think i dont appreciate the way she has done it. She has achieved so much at such a young age and i am tad jealous. She gets to live her dream and i have to stay in school for another 17 months.. and then university for 3 years.
I just want to these 17 months to go faster, but on the other hand i am so scared of the future. I just want to study film and not have to work my ass off to get marks. To study to get into an industry that you dont exactly need a degree for. so this sucks.
I love being 17. and I hate the way Miley talks. :)
